I have been very passionate about books ever since as a young child my mom would pay us every summer to read books. I am a very active reader I even have a TikTok just for my book reviews. (@authorkelseym.wells).
My husband of 11 years started calling me squishy after watching Finding Nemo and everyone has picked up calling me by the nickname.
I have 2 kids: a girl and a boy. I can’t forget my fur baby Luna (yes, like Luna Lovegood) she is always at my side and is my Inspo for Griffin in Welcome to Hell’s Circle.
I live in Idaho for now with dreams of one day moving to the Oregon Coast.
When I am not reading a book, writing or spending family time I am probably watching tv shows. Supernatural is my all time favorite show. Forever on team Dean. Some of my favorite books are A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair, From Blood and Ash by JLA, The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, Under the Neversky by Veronica Rossi.

To get to know the author better, we asked Kelsey, a quick round of questions, and here are her answers:
Q1: What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Welcome to Hell’s Circle. I was inspired by Dante’s Inferno and wanted to retell going through all nine circles of Hell. Plus let’s be honest the original Dante’s Inferno wasn’t easy to read/understand for most but I saw the potential and what it could be… Plus I made Hell a little more sexy.
Q2: What are five words that describe your writing process?
Research, Write, rewrite, edit, edit.
Q3: What authors, or books have influenced you?
Scarlett St. Clair a Touch of Darkness Series, and Jennifer L. Armentrout From Blood and Ash Series.
Q4: What is the first book to make you cry?
Harry Potter- Sirius Black dying tore my heart into pieces.
Q5: Is writing your full-time career? Or would you like it to be?
Kind of, I write as much as I can. I am a mom of two kids so I work writing around being a mom. My husband works so that gives me more freedom to focus on writing full-time.
Q6: What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t ever compare your 1st draft to someone else’s final draft (a book that is released for sale to the public).
Q7: What is your favourite genre to read?
Anything from Fantasy, Romance, YA, PNR, I will always love Dystopian.
Q8: Do you have any writing quirks?
I won’t really read over a chapter I wrote until I am all finished with the book otherwise I get stuck in this always wanting to edit this one chapter and never make it past that chapter.
Q9: What are you working on now?
I am working on two projects. Inferno’s Wrath which is the 2nd book in Hell’s Circle Series and a RH book that will be coming out winter 2021.
Q10: What are you currently reading?
Ha, umm a lot I am a mood reader so I have a few I am working on:Neon Gods by Katee Robert The Beast by Katee RobertRise of the Witch by C. RochelleZodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti.
